Interim No More: Chiefs Name Crennel Coach

Romeo Crennel agreed to a three-year deal to become the Kansas City Chiefs' head coach on Monday.Financial terms were not disclosed, but the Chiefs were expected to hold a news conference on Monday afternoon to announce the move.Crennel had served as the interim head coach after taking over for Todd Haley, who was fired following Kansas City's 37-10 loss to the New York Jets back on Dec. 11.The Chiefs went 2-1 under Crennel, capped by a stunning 17-13 win over the previously unbeaten Green Bay Packers.Crennel, 64, was head coach of the Cleveland Browns from 2005-08, leading them to a 24-40 record. He spent the previous four years as the New England Patriots' defensive coordinator.
